Shaka Hasso Yamato Bunko is a full-length work published over a span of 26 years, eventually comprising 58 volumes. It illustrates the Eight Phases of the Buddha's life—from his birth to his passing into nirvana—in an accessible storytelling style, accompanied by numerous dynamic ukiyo-e illustrations.
