[Hand-printed woodblock prints] This artwork is an ukiyo-e picture printed by hand. Unlike the printed matter that you touch on a daily basis, these woodblock prints are meticulously handiwork of craftsmen one at a time. No machinery is used in the process. The expert yet delicate techniques of the craftsmen faithfully and carefully reproduce the ukiyo-e paintings of the Edo period.
