Topic : This book was collected by Rikimaru Kirotei and illustrated by Hanzan Matsukawa, the Ukiyo-e artist in Osaka around 1787 in the Edo period. The word Tsukurimono means to create new item by combining various daily commodities. There are also some word-plays such as Share(Japanese traditional jokes or witticism) in this book, and it had become a long-seller to go through several editions even in the Meiji era.
